guacamole

Is there anything better than a homemade, perfectly seasoned, minorly chunky guacamole? Nope, I didn’t think so either. Skip the store tub of pre-made guac, this one comes together in no time and is worth the difference!

MAKES

6-8 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

4 hass avocados, chunked

1 roma tomato, chopped

1/4 cup red onion, minced

2 garlic cloves, minced OR 1 teaspoon garlic powder

handful of chopped cilantro, stems removed

zest and juice of 2 limes

salt to taste

crushed red pepper, optional

METHOD

  • In a medium bowl, combine the avocados, tomatoes, red onion, garlic cloves or powder, cilantro, juice of the limes, and a good pinch of salt. Mix well to combine, using the back of your spoon to mash any avocado chunks to the consistency of your liking.

  • Taste for seasoning and add more salt if needed. Top with the lime zest and crushed red pepper if desired.

  • Grab a bag of fresh tortilla chips, veggies or just a spoon & enjoy!
